Geoelectrical investigations through Vertical Electrical Sounding (VES) method and electrical tomography (multielectrod) to identify the local geological conditions that led to landslides near the village Aciliu, Sibiu County.
At the same time with the geophysical studies, geotechnical investigations with dynamic penetration were carried out. The results of these studies were very accurate and longitudinal and cross sections that separate the slip plane have resulted.
Georadar investigations (GPR) and natural magnetic field were carried out to identify buried utility networks. The land under investigation is a former industrial platform with good chance that the utilities are active or abandoned.
The land area consisted of boulders and debris making georadar measurements difficult in optimal conditions. In these circumstances further investigations were made through the natural magnetic field method.
Georadar investigations (GPR) at Baneasa airport to identify current conditions of the runway and of the aircraft parking platform. In this project a georadar antenna with 900 MHz frequency was used, which highlighted the layers, discontinuities, fissures and utilities in very good conditions.
Because of airport conditions, the works were conducted at night, when air traffic was interrupted. The positioning of profiles on existing plans was realized with GPS technology with ROMPOS network link.
